Construction Continues
The group met at the Library Learning terrace today to continue building the wind turbine with an updated design. We installed a dowel rod to the main shaft of the motor. We fit it over the motor and then put a steel wire through the hole in the dowel and motor shaft. It is relatively stable and we are looking to scrap the Pringles can idea we had. The blades will now be attached more closely to the center to hopefully increase efficiency with a smaller center of gravity.
